New Free embrace woodland events in June 2010
The following Embrace Woodlands project events have been organized for June 2010
10:30am to 3:30pm Thursday 3rd June
Start creation woodland food growing area workshop
This Free woodland food growing area workshop is part of Embrace Woodlands! project. Which is run by Trust for Urban Ecology (TRUE) and Embrace Cooperation Ltd (www.myembrace.org), funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The workshop will involve the start of the creation of a woodland food growing area in Dulwich Upper Wood using traditional tools. All equipment and tools will be provided.
12:30pm to 3pm Thursday 10th June
Surveying insects in a urban wood
This Free insect survey workshop is part of Embrace Woodlands! project. Which is run by Trust for Urban Ecology (TRUE) and Embrace Cooperation Ltd (www.myembrace.org), funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The workshop will involve surveying insects in Dulwich Upper Wood and looking at recording methods.
Including how to use a insect malaise trap to
1) Trap the insects on the survey
2) Demonstrate how to set up / use the trap
3) With participants on the survey to setting up the trap

Looking at different woodland survey techniques
This Free survey workshop is part of Embrace Woodlands! project. Which is run by Trust for Urban Ecology (TRUE) and Embrace Cooperation Ltd (www.myembrace.org), funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The workshop will involve looking at different surveying techniques in Dulwich Upper Wood and looking at recording methods.
Including how to use various different measuring equipment including light meters, soil testers and weather station.
All these workshops will be run by nature conservation professionals from embrace Cooperation Ltd and TRUE.
